How Exam Stress Can Be Handled?
As exam dates comes near we all try to grab things at the fullest. Resulting in picking up different subjects at the same time. Causing stress and Making us a robot trying to fit in. As it is not wise to take stress and learning together; so how can you just sit and relax? Well you don’t have to relax but also not to stress too much!!
What is the cause of this anxiety and how you can handle it?
Well everything has a reason to happen and in this case there are many factors!!! Like branches of a tree it grows slowly and captures the mind.
1. Lack of Preparation: The students always have a notion that this is the only time they can have fun. Well it is true in some sense but wait. Why does it lead to lack of preparation? Because students start spending more time on subject topics that need less attention. So when time comes for exam we rush and end up getting nothing leading to stress.
But stress really doesn’t help in any situation. So the least and most you can do is revise the topics already studied. Starting a new topic will lead to more stress. Trust me I have tried!!! So just revise once and only if you are sure about specific topic then just have a look at it.
2. Now, Motivation is important: I know parents will start keeping an eye, turning your Wi- Fi off and taking your mobiles too. This is the part of negative motivation. So parents need to play an important part during this time.
Sitting with your child, instead of comparing with other mates can help a lot. Giving them an assurance that it will be fine, if their child will give their 100%; even if they don’t get 100%.
3. A Proper Diet Is A must: I remember that Bose’s quote ‘Give me Blood, I will Give you Freedom’. I know even you do. So, Good marks demand good health. If you will stay healthy and hydrated then more concentration -> leading to Good Marks.
Eat well, and eating doesn’t include posting pics with Burger or a glass of Mojito. A proper healthy diet, consisting of green vegetables.
4. ‘Self-Confidence’ is a must thing’: Its just an exam not a World war 3 that you have to prepare for. Even if your question paper consists of Zombies; Answer it!!! Yes Try It, because you have studied that. Wear your pen with confidence and act like you can do it!!! If you will have confidence then there is nothing that can stop you.
The last thing I would say is trust yourself. As Sarah Kay said “Because there’s nothing more beautiful than the way the ocean refuses to stop kissing the shoreline, no matter how many times it’s sent away.” So stress is your enemy and you have to deal it with yourself. Just Keep Faith and go it is your exam!!!
