How Parents Play a Big Role in their Child’s Career?
Have you heard of Jeff Bejos? I know you must be thinking ‘OK, why is she asking general knowledge questions’!! What about ‘Apni Dukan’? Yes the owner of Amazon didn’t really belong to commerce scenario.
But he turned out to be a successful one when he tried doing that. So when your children say their preference over course don’t ask them “What Humanities has for you or Commerce’, Don’t. Because you have a Big Role In their success and failure!!!
‘Sharma ji’s’ daughter or Son, is his not yours!! So worry about how much your child will earn or how will he/she. Which stream? Here are some factors which you should look upon before making them Doctor, Engineer or anything that you have ONLY heard of!!!!
Choice Of Interest: We have seen how in movie it is shown that if its a boy ‘he will become engineer’ and a daughter then ‘Doctor’
Now the case is not same. There is a field for every interest. So if your son says he wants to become a fashion designer let him be!!! If they get themselves involve in a job that has money but not their Interest. Then Kudos you will fail as a parent.
Is your Child Ready for that course?
I know as soon as the results are out. Most of the parents are worried about their child’s future. But wait. Take it as an opportunity to make your child more relevant for that course. You can ask them to first try reading books related to it.
Not because your child scored 90% in grade 10 he/she is ready to launch a rocket or take stream that you decided. Make him/her comfortable with the environment and future opportunities regarding that course or stream. It will surely help them to decide what they are really up to!!!
A thorough Research regarding the trends: There are many sites or online analysis of every course. If your child has taken commerce then it is not mandatory that he must go for C.A., there are many new fields that may show requirement in coming future that you are not aware of!!! So why to stay outdated in this era of 5G spectrum?
This choosing of career and getting enrolled is not guaranteeing permanent success. Vecause students may drop in the final year because they are not able to handle stress. So As a Parent you should always be there to help them and get them through this tough time.
Because peer pressure is what needs to be handled and you can play a great role in doing that.
